The 3rd Aero Technics Challenge Cup was contested by the maximum (32) teams possible.

Eight leagues of four teams competed against each other in the very close and competitive group stages. This meant only one team gained maximum points in the group stages.

This team was AFC Shoreham in League eight with a goal difference of +6, only conceding one goal in the group stages.
Next was Highgrade in League five with seven points and a goal difference of +5 who never conceded a goal in the group stages. Also on seven points were Franklin F.C. with a goal difference of +3, and then there were three teams on seven points all with a goal difference of +2. The three teams were Sporting Devils league six and Varndean Rovers league three whom both goalkeepers kept clean sheets leaving St Pauls who conceded one goal.

Sporting Devils (formerly known as F.C.Jiggle) played some of their best football to date by beating Real Apathetic 1-0, Burgess Hill Albion 3rds 1-0 and then were held to a draw by AFC Munchies 0-0.
This gave Sporting Devils the top position in their league.
The next team to take on the Devils in the last sixteen in the knockouts were the much-favoured team to win the tournament Highgrade. This game produced some fine football with the goalkeepers keeping both teams in the game.
Sporting Devils finally make the breakthrough and eventually won the game 1-0.
The Devils were narrowly beaten in the quarterfinal by AFC Shoreham 2-1.

There were only two penalty shootouts within the knockout stages this year and they were both contested by Franklin F.C. who drew 0-0 with Barnseys Boys in the quarterfinal (winning 4-3 on pens.) and then St Pauls (winning 2-1 on pens.)

The top goal scorer trophy this year went to Jamie Liddell from Horley Elite scoring an incredible 8 goals.
