In it's second year the Time 24 Charity Trophy held in aid of two worthy Charities this year St Catherine's Hospice and Citizens Advice Bureau was held again at Burgess Hill Town Football Club, Leyland's Park. This tournament was an even bigger success than the previous year. Twenty-eight teams competed on four pitches to decide who will become Time 24 Charity Trophy Champions 2006. One team showed themselves to be unstoppable. HPC conceded only 2 goals in the whole tournament, both of these goals were conceded in the final game to a team called Rok Group who eventually lost 6-2.
HPC and Rok Group had previously played each other in the group stages where the result ended in a 1-0 win for HPC (a much fairer result).

Three teams finished their group stages with the same amount of points (9) CCI with a goal difference of +7, HPC with a goal difference of +5 and W&S Plumbing & Heating with a goal difference of +3. The four other league winners also gained the same points (7) QSS A with a goal difference of +5, Mid Sussex Forklifts with a goal difference of +3. Aurora and Norman Group also ending up with the same goal difference +2.
The second place positions in each league in the group stages were Saga Louts and Time 24 B with 6 points and a goal difference of +3, W&S Plumbing B and QSS B with 6 points and a goal difference of +1, Icon Idols with 5 points and a goal difference of +2, Maclin Pumps with 4 points with a goal difference of +2, Rok Group with 4 points and a goal difference of 0.

The top goal scorer trophy within the group stages was won by Jamie Weston from CCI who scored 4 goals.

A big thanks to all the teams that participated and helped raise thousands of pounds for the St Catherine's Hospice and Citizens Advice Bureau.
