A sunshine filled day accompanied a successful day of six a side football at GSK on Saturday.

24 teams battled it out to win the inaugural Movers and Shakers Challenge Cup hosted by Twin Oaks Football.

The tournament was organised to raise money for the Cure Parkinson's Trust. Two of the players involved in the competition Jimmy Beale and Kieron Young, decided to raise money for The Cure Parkinson's Trust (also known as Movers and Shakers) as Jimmy's Dad, Mick, has the disease.

They are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in September and the tournament was part of the raising money process which has now reached, with help from Twin Oaks Football, over 2,500 pounds.

As part of their training, Jimmy and Kieron have walked 30 miles of "The Ridgeway" through Berkshire and Whiltshire, climbed Mount Snowdon in Wales and Britain's tallest Mountain Ben Nevis. At the end of the month they will complete the three peak challenge by adding Scafell Pike to there list of conquered mountains.

The tournament was eventually won by FC Crawley when they overcame a strong AFC Shoreham team, who en route to the final beat Jimmy and Kieron's Kili Kids, in a closely contested game 1-0.

Jimmy and Kieron would like to thank everybody involved in the organising of the event, with special mentions to Janet Beale for her alcoholic raffle, GSK for giving us all access to their facilities and pitch, Dave at J.E.M Trophies for donating the fantastic trophies, the referees for putting up with all that comes with officiating unfit moaning men, food van man Perrin who put on a great spread for all to enjoy and last but not least Twin Oaks Football.

You guys deserve a special mention, thank you so much to Paula, Glenn and the Team.

Without your generosity Saturday would not have gone ahead as smoothly and professionally.

Jimmy, Kieron and Mick really appreciate everything you have done for us, as I said above you have helped us surpass our money raising target with ease. We owe you one!

If you would like to keep up with Jimmy and Kieron's progress then there is a Facebook page, KIlimanjaro Kids that you can log on to. If you would like to donate to this great charity then follow this link Jimmy & Kieron
