Eight leagues of four teams competed against each other with four teams gaining maximum points in the group stages.
These team were Shoreham-by-Sea A in League One with the highest goal difference ever of +14, next was Franklin in League Six with a goal difference of +10, third was AFC Mashbarn I in League Four with +7 and finally Turners Hill B in League Eight with +4.
There was a total of 5 penalty shootouts within the knockout stages this year.
Turners Hill A were the penalty kings by winning their shootouts in the quarter final 3-1 against the Twin Oaks Challenge Cup Champions St.Pauls FC. They then went on to knockout Shoreham-by-Sea A 4-3 in the semi finals even though Shoreham had not conceded a goal until this game.
The final was contested between Turners Hill A and Franklin who topped a very competitive group within the league stages. Franklin stormed through the knockout stages defeating everyone in their way and only conceding one goal.
The final saw Franklin convincingly beating Turners Hill A 3-0 to win the Burgess Hill Festival 5-a-side Trophy for the 2nd time in three years.
