Due to a postponed away game and cup-ties involving some of the other clubs in their league this was the first match in four weeks for Twin Oaks. It was also the re-arranged fixture for the game that was postponed from November of last year.

Unlike their last two games against Billingshurst and East Grinstead Town , Twin Oaks started the game well and were soon into their normal neat and tidy passing game. After a series of excellent early attacking moves Twin Oaks took the lead after only 5 minutes with an expertly placed shot by Bradley. 1-0 to the home side.

Twin Oaks kept up the pressure from the start to the finish of the first half and the players seemed to be in no mood to see a repeat of the last two closely fought games that they had been involved in. On 12 minutes Bradley scored his and the teams’ second goal of the game after a well worked move, this was followed by two further goals on 20 and 22 minutes from Cameron. The first saw him round the Albury Eagles goalkeeper to place the ball in the net and the second of his brace was scored via an easy tap in from within the six yard box. The remainder of the half belonged to Twin Oaks, who went in at half-time, 4-0 to the good.

The second half saw Twin oaks continuing to control the game, although it must be said that there was a passage of play in the earlier minutes of this half that saw the away side try and make a game of it. Unfortunately for the Albury Eagles side the well organised defence coupled with the strong midfield of Twin Oaks were soon able to combat this threat and before long the home team were back on the offensive.

On 18 minutes of the half a goal from Harry, followed by a third goal, to complete his hat-trick, from Bradley on 25 minutes wrapped up this game for Twin Oaks. There was just enough time towards the end of the game for Ben to add a seventh goal to complete a commanding performance by the top of the table side. The home supporters went away from the game more than satisfied with their team’s performance.

Both sides were to meet again in an epic last game of the season, but for now this 7-0 victory would do very nicely.

Well played lad’s, keep it up !
