Our third game was away against Ockley Acorns. Like us they had been unbeaten in their first two games of the season.
This match proved to be a game of two halves (aren’t they all), with Twin Oaks dominating the first and the home side rallying in the second. An early goal from a penalty made for an exciting first half for Twin Oaks which saw them race into a 3-0 lead after only 25 minutes of play. Ockley pulled one goal back before half-time to make it 3-1.
The second half saw the home side pressing for a second goal to try and get themselves back into the game but it was Twin Oaks that netted the next important goal and eventually finished the match 4-1 winners.
After this victory Twin Oaks were now 3-points clear at the top of the table.
