Saturday 18th September - Cup game Full time score 2 -2 Penalties 7 - 8
Storrington Vipers v Twin Oaks

For the first 10 minutes we held our own and then a mistake on the wing let them in for there first of the game. Although we had chances of our own by Reece, Taylor and Alex, late on in the first half they produced a carbon copy of their earlier goal to put themselves two ahead. Still as much as we tried through luck or good defending, we could not get our first goal!

Starting the second half we lay siege to their half of the pitch. Alex was immense in the centre of the park as was Waynes so that all they were left with were balls over the top. With the excellence of Pamass laying the ball onto Alex to lob the keeper for Twin Oaks first goal. With 10 minutes to go and many tired legs the team dug deep and pulled another through ball with which Waynes ran onto and scored the equalizer.

Extra time and Twin Oaks were buzzing, they knew that they could win this game and were dominant throughout despite both teams not scoring.
Penalties were then lined up to be taken. Taylor scored first and they equalled 1-1. Waynes then shot but unfortunately his was saved, they then scored and we went 2-1 down. Reece then put his in and Kieran saved his first penalty and took us level again. Stephano and Alex both put theirs away and we continued to stay level at 4-4. Kieron then saved another only to be told by the ref that he had moved off his line and it had to be retaken, this time they scored. Ceejay's was saved well and then goals followed by Tommy, Mike, Michael and Pamass. The score was now 7 - 8 and Kieran took his place ready on the goal line. The opposition struck the ball and it went to Kierans left, he lent over and pushed the ball away sending the whole team into cheers of celebration.

We could have been at Wembley playing in a Cup Final for how we felt.

All the team played really well and it was very difficult to call a man of the match, however for his excellent saves this was given to Kieran Bean.
