U14's Win Parkwood Rangers Tournament 2009/2010

Crawley under 14s side Twin Oaks continued their tour of 5 and 6 a side football tournaments far and wide, with a superb win at the Parkside Rangers Fiesta.

They initially won their group after a nervous first game draw against Dartford. This was followed by far more confident performances with a 2-0 win over Valley Park Rangers A, 3-0 win against Whiteoak and a 2-0 win over Slade Green A.

In the quarter finals they met Burstead Invicta and won 2-0. The semi final against Slade Green B was a tight game with Twin Oaks taking the lead but Slade Green equalizing with the last kick of normal time. Two goals for Twin Oaks settled the game in added time the second of which was a tremendous strike from a free kick taken by Elliot Lancaster.

The final against Hayden was on the whole one way traffic with Twin Oaks bombarding the opposition goal and the Hayden keeper making numerous saves leading to the game finishing 0-0 in normal time. Once again goals in extra time from Liam Ingram and a superb solo goal from Luke Critchley-Schembri settled the game.

A special mention should be made for the brilliant performance of stand in goalkeeper Sam Smith, who kept clean sheets in all matches bar one, making a number of important reaction saves when called upon.
